ATTORNEYS

Brian S. Steinberger is a former Primary Patent Examiner with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and is a registered patent attorney. Mr. Steinberger is a member of the Florida, Pennsylvania, and Federal bars, including the Middle District of Florida. He is also a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association(AIPLA), University of Michigan Alumni, the American Bar Association (ABA), and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA).

Upon graduating from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor's engineering program, Mr. Steinberger worked for over nine years as a Patent Examiner for the United States Patent and Trademark Office (1983-1992), where he examined over eight hundred patent applications and left the office as a Primary Patent Examiner. In 1992, Mr. Steinberger graduated Howard Law School on an academic scholarship in three years while working full time at the Patent and Trademark Office.

Mr. Steinberger has authored many articles on intellectual property for technical journals and newspapers, and has lectured for over eight years on intellectual property at the University of Central Florida's Small Business Development Center in Orlando. Since 1993, Mr. Steinberger has written and prosecuted over hundreds of patents, trademarks, and copyrights, and has been lead and associate trial counsel on multiple litigation cases at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office and in Federal and State Courts.

Joyce Morlin is a registered patent attorney with The Law Offices of Brian S. Steinberger, and has over 25 years of patent prosecution experience having authored and prosecuted dozens of U.S. and foreign patents. Ms. Morlin previously established and managed an international patent office in Europe for General Foods. Ms. Morlin is a member of the Florida, Michigan, Indiana, and New York Bars. Ms. Morlin has chemistry and library science degrees and a JD degree. Ms. Morlin specializes in chemical inventions, nanotechnology, material science, and mechanical inventions.

Phyllis K. Wood has been a registered patent attorney for over 10 years. In addition to being a registered patent attorney, Ms. Wood is a member of the Florida Bar, and has a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri and a JD degree. Ms. Wood specializes in electrical inventions, software, and mechanical inventions.

Frances Olmsted (of Counsel) has over 25 years experience. She has a Masters Degree in Molecular Biology, and has completed most requirements for a Ph.D. and has a JD degree. She has prosecuted U.S. and foreign patent applications in biological, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical and chemical areas. She is a member of the New York bar and is a registered patent attorney.
